Ghostbusters II on NES is exactly what you'd expect—a clunky but weirdly charming adaptation of the movie. You start off zapping ghosts in New York (again), but this time the pink slime is everywhere, and the controls feel like you're wading through it. The first level throws you right into the firehouse, where you grab your proton pack and head out to wrangle some spooks.
It's not exactly smooth—your shots have this weird delay, and the ghosts move in patterns that feel more unfair than challenging. But there's something about the chiptune rendition of the theme song and the pixelated Stay-Puft that makes it hard to stay mad. If you grew up with this one, you'll probably forgive its jank. If not, well... at least it's short.
Honestly, it's more of a nostalgia trip than a must-play.
