Gensan Quiz is one of those weird little Game Boy gems that makes you go, "Wait, they made a quiz game for this?" At first glance, it's just another trivia title, but there's something oddly charming about how it leans into the handheld's limitations—the chunky pixel text, the tinny sound effects when you pick answers, that satisfying click of the D-pad.

You start off picking from categories that feel very 90s (I went with "retro gaming" first and immediately got stumped by a question about the Famicom Disk System). The questions ramp up fast, and some translations are... questionable, but that kinda adds to the vibe. Half the fun is arguing with the game when it insists you're wrong about some obscure anime fact.
