Gauntlet II on the Game Boy is basically the arcade classic squeezed into your pocket, but with some solid upgrades. The first thing you'll notice is how much meaner the enemies are—they actually chase you now instead of just wandering around. And those new treasures? Some are lifesavers, others are traps, so you'll second-guess grabbing everything shiny.
Best part? No more fighting over characters with friends. Everyone picks their favorite right from the start—though good luck convincing anyone not to hog the Valkyrie. The levels feel tougher too, like the devs took the original and cranked the chaos up just enough to make you mutter "oh come on" at the screen. Still stupidly addictive though.
It's the same dungeon-crawling, potion-chugging madness, just with more ways to die spectacularly.
