About Garfield Labyrinth
Garfield Labyrinth came out for the Game Boy in 1989, developed by The Edge. It was part of that early wave of portable games where developers were still figuring out what worked on the small screen. You don't see many people talk about it now, but it was one of those titles you'd find tucked away in a bargain bin, a curious little adventure starring the lasagna loving cat.
You control Garfield, navigating a series of single screen rooms that form a large maze. Your goal is to find all the pieces of a magical crown scattered throughout the labyrinth. The main actions involve pushing blocks to clear paths and avoiding enemies like mice and spiders; you can't attack them, only dodge. Each screen is a self contained puzzle, and the challenge comes from remembering the layout and figuring out the correct sequence to move obstacles. It's a slow, methodical game that requires patience more than quick reflexes. Playing it feels like working through a dense, sometimes frustrating logic problem in a cartoon world.
