About Garfield - A Week Of Garfield (japan)
Garfield: A Week of Garfield came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1989, developed by The Edge. It was a Japan only release, one of many oddball licensed titles that appeared on the platform during that era.
You control Garfield, moving him through side scrolling stages across seven different days of the week. Your main goal is to find and rescue Odie, who has been taken. The gameplay involves basic platforming and using a slingshot to pop balloons that block your path. You also collect items like coffee to restore health and alarm clocks for extra time. The controls feel stiff and the level design is often unforgiving, making progress a slow, deliberate task. Playing it feels like wrestling with a stubborn, slightly broken cartoon.
