Ganso!! Yancha Maru is one of those weird, charming Game Boy games that feels like it fell out of a time capsule. You play as this little round dude (Yancha Maru, I guess?) who just... bounces around smashing blocks and collecting stuff. It's simple, but there's something oddly satisfying about the way he moves—kinda floaty, but in a good way.
The first few levels ease you in with basic platforming, but then it starts throwing these weird gimmicks at you, like conveyor belts or blocks that disappear when you touch them. I remember getting stuck on this one screen where you have to bounce just right to reach the exit—took me way too many tries to figure it out.
It's definitely a product of its era—no fancy graphics or deep mechanics, just pure, uncomplicated Game Boy fun. If you're into retro stuff, it's a neat little time-waster.
