This is where Goemon first hit consoles—a weird, charming mix of platforming and beat 'em up action with that classic Konami quirk. You jump between rooftops, smacking enemies with your pipe, and occasionally hop into these giant robot fights that feel totally out of left field (in a good way). The MSX version’s a bit different, but the NES one nails that arcade-y feel, even if the controls take a minute to get used to. It’s rough around the edges, but you can see the start of what made the later games so fun.
