About Gameboy Gallery
Game Boy Gallery came out for the Game Boy in 1995, developed and published by Nintendo. It was a time when handheld gaming was really taking off, and this collection felt like a direct link to the company's arcade history, repackaged for on the go play.
You control a variety of characters across five different games, including the original Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong. The main objective is simply to play through each game, chasing high scores and clearing stages. Signature mechanics vary by game; in Mario Bros., you punch blocks from below to flip enemies, while in Donkey Kong, you climb ladders and jump over barrels to rescue Pauline. The pacing is quick, and the difficulty can get sharp, especially in the later stages of Donkey Kong. It feels like having a little arcade cabinet in your hands, a pocketful of classic challenges.
