Game Of Harmony, The Game

Game of Harmony, The is one of those weird little Game Boy gems that never got enough love. You start off in this dreamy, almost surreal world where everything moves to a rhythm—even the enemies. At first, it feels like a simple platformer, but then you realize you’ve got to time your jumps and attacks to the background music. Mess up the beat, and suddenly those floating islands don’t line up right.
The pixel art’s got this soft, pastel look that makes it stand out from the usual Game Boy fare. And the music? Super catchy, but in a way that sticks with you. I remember getting stuck on this one level where the tempo kept changing, and I had to actually listen instead of just button-mashing.
It’s short, maybe a couple hours if you’re good, but there’s something oddly satisfying about nailing a perfect run. Definitely one of those games that makes you wish the Game Boy had more weird experimental stuff like this.
