Game Boy Camera Gold Game

Game Boy Camera Gold is basically the weirdest, most charming little photography experiment Nintendo ever put on the Game Boy. You get this chunky cartridge with a tiny lens, and suddenly your handheld is a 90s-era digital camera—with all the glorious 4-color pixelation that implies.
At first, you’ll just snap grainy black-and-white (well, green-and-black) photos of your friends or your ceiling, but then you realize there’s this whole goofy editing suite. Stamps, warped filters, even a music maker. I spent way too much time making my cat look like a demon with the distortion tool.
It’s not exactly Instagram, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about how limited it is. You’ll either love it or wonder why anyone bothered. I still have a folder of these ridiculous low-res pics somewhere.
