About Galg (japan)
Zunou Senkan Galg is a vertical scrolling shoot 'em up released only in Japan for the Famicom, the Japanese version of the NES. It was developed and published by SOFEL. This game arrived during a period when the console was saturated with space shooters, each trying to carve out a niche with a unique gimmick.
You pilot a lone spacecraft through waves of alien enemies and intricate bullet patterns. Your main goal is to survive each stage, defeat the boss, and progress. The game features a power-up system where you collect items to enhance your ship's main shot and secondary options. A signature mechanic is the ability to rotate a satellite pod around your ship; you manually control its position to block incoming fire or aim its attacks.
