GB Genjin 2 is basically Bonk’s weird little Game Boy cousin—same caveman headbutting action, just shrunk down for Nintendo’s handheld. It’s a Japan-only sequel to the TurboGrafx classic, so expect the same goofy charm but with chunky sprites and that classic Game Boy green tint.
You’re still bouncing off enemies’ heads and chomping meat to power up, though the levels feel a bit more cramped (hey, it’s the Game Boy). Some of the platforming gets surprisingly tricky, especially when the screen’s fighting you for space. Still, it’s got that same Bonk energy—just don’t expect the TurboGrafx’s colorful chaos.
If you’re into retro oddities or just miss whacking dinosaurs with your forehead, it’s a fun time capsule.
