Fushigi No Dungeon - Fuurai No Shiren 2 is one of those N64 hidden gems that’ll either make you a roguelike believer or break your spirit—no in-between. You start off in a cozy little village, but don’t get too comfortable. Before long, you’re tossed into these brutal, ever-changing dungeons where every step counts (literally, since enemies move when you do).
The turn-based combat seems simple at first—swing sword, dodge attacks—but then you realize hunger’s draining your health, traps are everywhere, and that "harmless" scroll you picked up? Yeah, it just turned all your gear into bananas. The pixel art’s got this weirdly charming SNES-era vibe, which kinda softens the blow when you die for the 20th time.
If you’re into games where preparation matters more than reflexes, this one’s a brutal but weirdly satisfying grind. Just don’t throw your controller when a floor full of poison moths ruins your best run.
