Forsaken 64 is one of those N64 shooters that feels like it got lost in the shuffle—which is a shame, because the zero-gravity combat is wild once you get the hang of it. You’re basically floating through wrecked space stations, dodging fire from all angles while trying to line up shots with your ship’s weirdly satisfying weapons. The first time you boost sideways to avoid a missile, it clicks.
Graphics were impressive for the time, with all these eerie, half-destroyed environments, and the soundtrack nails that late-’90s sci-fi vibe. Some of the later levels get brutal—enemies come at you from everywhere—but figuring out the best paths and weapon combos is half the fun. If you ever played Descent and wished it was even more chaotic, this is your game.
Just don’t blame me when you spend 20 minutes stuck on a corner because zero-G controls are mean like that.
