Flintstones, The - The Rescue Of Dino & Hoppy (japan) Game
📅 1991 ✍️ Taito Corporation

Okay, so picture this: Fred Flintstone’s just chilling in Bedrock when some weirdo from the future nabs Dino and Hoppy—because apparently, prehistoric pets are collector’s items now. Classic Fred, he doesn’t even question the tiny alien that shows up to help him build a time machine. You’re basically jumping through caves, dodging pterodactyls, and smacking cavemen with Fred’s club to find the missing parts.
The controls are a little stiff (it is an NES game), but there’s something satisfying about whacking enemies with that big stone club. Some levels get weirdly tough—like that one with the disappearing platforms over lava. I may or may not have thrown my controller as a kid. Still, rescuing Dino feels worth it, even if the time travel logic makes zero sense.
