Flappy Special is basically the Game Boy version of that bird game everyone got weirdly obsessed with years ago—except now it’s in glorious 8-bit. You know the drill: tap to keep this derpy little bird airborne while squeezing through pipes, except here the chiptune soundtrack and pixelated visuals make failing feel oddly charming.

At first, it seems easy—until you realize your reflexes are somehow worse than you remember. The controls are stupidly simple, but that just means there’s no one to blame when you faceplant into the third pipe in a row. I swear the hitboxes are slightly evil, but in that way that makes you mutter "one more try" under your breath.

Perfect for killing time when you’re waiting for the bus or pretending to listen in a meeting. Just don’t throw your Game Boy across the room when you finally beat your high score… only to immediately crash right after.
