Fire Electric Pen is one of those weird little N64 puzzle games that somehow sticks with you. You’re basically guiding this electric pen through these tight, maze-like levels—except everything’s out to zap you if you touch the wrong thing. At first, it feels simple, but then the layouts get brutal, forcing you to plan every move or get fried in seconds.
What I like is how it plays with tension. You’ll inch forward, sweating over a tricky corner, only to panic when some new hazard pops up. The controls are sharp, though, so when you mess up, it’s usually your fault. Not for the impatient, but if you dig methodical puzzles with a side of adrenaline, this one’s a hidden gem.
