About Fighter Destiny 2
Fighter Destiny 2 came out for the Nintendo 64 in 2000, developed by Genki. It was part of that late N64 period when fighting games were trying new things with the hardware. You picked it up knowing it wasn't a big name like some others, but it had its own ideas.
You control a martial artist moving through a series of one on one fights. The main goal is to win tournaments and unlock new characters. The game uses a life bar system, but it also scores each round based on your performance; you can win by knockout or by points. There's a ring out mechanic that instantly ends a round if you knock your opponent outside the boundary. The pacing is quick, and the difficulty can spike on later stages. It feels like a straightforward brawler that doesn't overcomplicate its action.
