You control Uncle Fester from The Addams Family, armed with a wobbly whip, as he investigates an alien invasion in his town. The main goal is to explore the streets and enter buildings that serve as dungeons, defeating bosses to collect key items. The game progresses screen by screen, with overhead outdoor sections that shift to a first person view inside buildings. You can find and use different weapons, like a gun that replaces your whip, and managing your health and ammunition is a constant concern. The pacing is slow and the difficulty is notoriously unforgiving, with cheap enemy hits and maze like sewers. Playing it feels like a constant, grueling fight against both the aliens and the game's own design.
