Ferrari Grand Prix Challenge on Game Boy is one of those early F1 racers that feels rough around the edges but still kinda hooks you. You get all the real tracks from the '91 season, which is cool if you're into that era of racing—Monaco, Silverstone, the whole lineup. The cars handle like they're on ice at first, but after a few crashes (and there will be crashes), you start getting the hang of it.
Graphics are what you'd expect from a Game Boy racer—basic top-down view, tiny sprites, but somehow it still captures that speed vibe when you hit a straightaway. The sound effects are mostly just engine noise and the occasional screech of tires, but hey, it’s 8-bit Ferrari chaos. Not the deepest racer out there, but weirdly addictive once you get into the rhythm. If you’ve got nostalgia for early handheld racing, this one’s a fun little time capsule.
