Okay, so Ferrari: Grand Prix Challenge on Game Boy is exactly what it sounds like—a no-frills, old-school racer where you’re basically just trying not to spin out every five seconds. The controls are stiff (it’s a Game Boy racer, what did you expect?), but there’s something weirdly satisfying about wrestling these Ferraris around tight corners with that tiny D-pad.
You start with a slow-ish car, but after a few races, you unlock faster models that actually feel like they’re hauling. The tracks are simple loops with the occasional hairpin that’ll wreck you if you don’t brake early. And yeah, the AI drivers love to bump you from behind like they’ve got a personal grudge.
It’s not the deepest racing game, but if you’re into that early ‘90s handheld vibe, it’s a fun little time capsule. Just don’t expect Forza.
