About Ferrari - Grand Prix Challenge (europe)
Ferrari: Grand Prix Challenge came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, developed and published by System 3. It was one of the later NES racing games, arriving as the 16-bit consoles were gaining ground, and it tried to deliver a detailed Formula One experience on the aging hardware.
You control a Ferrari F1 car from a top-down perspective, racing against fifteen other cars on circuits from the 1991 season. The main goal is to win the championship by finishing first across a series of Grand Prix races. The game uses a split-screen system during races, showing your car on one side and a map or rival on the other, which helps you anticipate sharp corners. Managing your tires and fuel is essential; you must pit strategically or risk losing speed or running out of fuel entirely. The racing is fast and the computer opponents are aggressive, making it a challenging title that demands concentration. It feels tense and demanding, especially when you are fighting for position on the final lap.
