Felix the Cat on Game Boy is one of those weirdly charming platformers that shouldn’t be as good as it is. You start off with Felix just bopping around, jumping on enemies like some kind of cartoon superhero—until he grabs this magic bag and suddenly he’s riding a tank? A tank. Yeah, it gets weird in the best way.
The levels are bright and full of little secrets, like hidden power-ups tucked behind random blocks. And the music? Stuck in my head for days after playing. It’s got that classic Game Boy chiptune sound, but with this bouncy energy that fits Felix perfectly.
Fair warning: some of the later levels get brutal. That underwater section? Pure chaos. But messing around with Felix’s transformations—turning into a plane, a submarine—keeps it fun even when you’re retrying for the tenth time. If you’ve got a soft spot for retro platformers with personality, this one’s a gem.
