Fastest Lap is one of those old-school Game Boy racers where you're basically a tiny F1 car zipping around top-down tracks. It's got that classic '90s feel—simple controls, but the AI cars actually put up a decent fight if you crank up the difficulty.

You've got three ways to play: jump into a quick Exhibition Race, grind through the World Tour mode (which is tougher than it looks), or just mess around in Practice. The two-player link cable mode is fun if you've got a buddy with a copy, though good luck finding someone who still owns this cartridge.

It's not the deepest racing sim, but there's something satisfying about nailing tight turns on the Monaco-inspired track. Just don't expect Gran Turismo-level realism.
