Family Trainer - Jogging Race is one of those weird, sweaty NES gems that makes you question why you're jumping around on a plastic mat at 2 AM. It's basically a jogging simulator for the Family Trainer (Japan's version of the Power Pad), where you actually run in place to make your little on-screen guy move. The faster you stomp, the faster he goes—which sounds simple until your legs start burning halfway through.
There's something oddly satisfying about the way the game handles, though. The courses scroll by with this chunky 8-bit charm, and the music has that classic "we're trying to motivate you but it's also kinda stressful" vibe. Just don't expect deep mechanics—it's pure, unfiltered cardio pretending to be a video game. If you've got the mat and questionable stamina, it's a hilarious way to embarrass yourself in front of friends.
