About F-zero X
F-Zero X came out for the Nintendo 64 in 1998, developed and published by Nintendo. It was one of the faster racing games on the console at the time, pushing the system's capabilities with its sense of speed and 3D tracks. This was the era where polygonal graphics were becoming the standard, and F-Zero X fully embraced that shift.
You pilot a high-speed anti-gravity machine, competing against 29 other racers on twisting, multi-level circuits. The main goal is straightforward: finish in the top positions across a cup series to advance. Key mechanics include a boost that consumes your energy bar, which also acts as your health; you can slam into rivals to drain their energy or get knocked out yourself. The game moves incredibly fast, demanding quick reflexes to navigate sharp turns and avoid getting thrown off the track. Controlling your craft as it hurtles through loops and corkscrews creates a constant, intense rush.
