Extreme-G on the N64 was one of those games that made you grip the controller tighter the faster you went. You race these futuristic bikes that feel like they’re barely under control—half the time, you’re just trying not to slam into a wall while boosting at insane speeds. And yeah, there are weapons, because why not? Nothing like firing off a missile mid-drift to keep things interesting.
The tracks twist and loop in ways that make your stomach drop, and the soundtrack’s got this aggressive techno beat that somehow makes going 500 mph feel even faster. First time I played, I wiped out constantly, but once you get the hang of it, nailing a perfect lap feels unreal. Definitely a game for people who like their racing with a side of chaos.
