Eikou no Saint Andrews is one of those N64 golf games that actually makes you feel like you're on the course—wind in your hair, bad decisions piling up, that sort of thing. The greens look weirdly good for an N64 title, with these little details like grass texture changing depending on how close you are to the fairway. First time I played, I spent way too long just panning the camera around to stare at the water hazards.
It's got that classic golf sim vibe where you're constantly second-guessing your club choice, especially when the wind kicks up. The career mode throws some legit tough courses at you later on—I remember one hole where the slope was so brutal, my ball rolled back to my feet twice. Still mad about that.
If you're into golf games that don't hold your hand, this one's a solid pick. Just don't blame me when you three-putt on the 18th.
