About Eggerland - Meikyuu No Fukkatsu (japan)
Eggerland: Meikyuu no Fukkatsu came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1988, developed by HAL Laboratory. It was part of a wave of puzzle-focused games on the NES that asked for more thought than quick reflexes, a different kind of challenge during that era.
You control Lolo, navigating him room by room through a dungeon. Your goal is to collect all the heart framers in a room to unlock the treasure chest and proceed. The main mechanics involve pushing blocks to create paths, avoiding or outsmarting enemies that you cannot directly attack, and using your shots to temporarily freeze foes or interact with objects. The game is methodical, often requiring you to stop and plan several moves ahead, and the difficulty comes from figuring out the single correct sequence of actions. Playing it feels like slowly untangling a knot with your mind.
