Earthworm Jim 3D is… well, it’s weird, in the best way possible. You’re a worm in a robotic suit blasting through bizarre levels full of talking cows, mutant chickens, and more nonsense than you can shake a plasma blaster at. The controls take some getting used to—early 3D platformers weren’t always graceful—but once you get the hang of Jim’s wobbly jumps and goofy gunplay, it’s a blast.
The humor’s still as dumb and charming as the old 2D games, though some of the level designs feel like they were cooked up at 3 AM after too much caffeine. That underwater section? Yeah, good luck with that. Still, if you’re into janky N64-era platformers with personality, this one’s worth dusting off.
