About Dynowarz - Destruction Of Spondylus
Dynowarz: Destruction of Spondylus came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990, published by Bandai. It was one of those late NES titles that tried to stand out with a strange premise, mixing science fiction with dinosaurs in a way that felt very of its time.
You control a space explorer named Dr. Proteus, who can walk and shoot enemies with his arm cannon. The main goal is to stop the evil Spondylus by navigating through side scrolling stages and defeating large robotic dinosaur bosses. A key mechanic is finding and piloting a powerful robotic dinosaur suit, which gives you stronger attacks and more health. You explore levels screen by screen, collecting power ups for your weapons and searching for the boss encounters. The game can be quite difficult, with precise platforming required and enemies that respawn quickly. Playing it feels like a constant scramble between your fragile human form and the brief power surge of the dino mech.
