Duck Tales on Game Boy is basically the portable version of that classic NES game where Scrooge McDuck bounces around on his cane like a pogo stick. It’s got the same treasure-hunting levels—the Amazon, Transylvania, even the Moon—but squished down for the tiny screen. The controls feel a little tighter than the NES version, and yeah, the music’s not quite as iconic, but it’s still got that weird charm of whacking enemies with a cane full of money.
Weirdly, the Japanese version has slightly different sprites (Scrooge’s hat is rounder, for some reason) and the text is, well, in Japanese. Not that it matters much—you’re mostly just jumping on stuff and collecting diamonds anyway. If you’ve played the NES one, this is a fun little nostalgia trip, just don’t expect it to be quite as polished.
