Duck Tales 2 on the Game Boy is one of those classic Disney platformers that somehow feels both nostalgic and surprisingly solid even today. You play as Scrooge McDuck, bouncing around on his cane like a pogo stick (which never gets old), hunting for treasure across different levels. The Japan version has a few quirks, like slightly different text and item names, but the gameplay’s the same—tight controls, colorful sprites, and that catchy Moon theme remix.
First few minutes? You’re hopping over gaps, smashing enemies with your cane, and figuring out which path leads to hidden loot. The levels aren’t huge, but they’ve got enough secrets to make backtracking worth it. And yeah, the music’s still a banger, even in chiptune.
If you’re into retro platformers, this one’s a fun little time capsule—just don’t expect it to be as polished as the NES version.
