Duck Tales 2 on Game Boy is one of those sequels that actually holds up—still has that classic feel, but with a few extra layers. You start off bouncing around as Scrooge with that ridiculous pogo stick (which, honestly, never gets old), smashing crates and dodging traps like some kind of wealthy, cane-wielding action hero.
The levels are surprisingly varied—one minute you're in a jungle temple, the next you're sneaking through a haunted castle. And yeah, the graphics are simple, but there's charm in those chunky pixels. The music? Still catchy as heck. I remember getting stuck on this one puzzle near the end where you have to weigh down switches with gold coins—took me way too long to figure it out.
If you played the first one, you'll notice little tweaks, like how the pogo feels a bit smoother. And if you didn’t? Doesn’t matter. Just jump in, bounce on some enemies, and try not to get annoyed when Launchpad crashes yet another plane. It’s a solid, quick playthrough with just enough challenge to keep you from breezing through it in one sitting.
