About Duck Hunt
Duck Hunt came out in 1984 for the Nintendo Entertainment System, developed by Nintendo R&D1. It was one of the games that showed what the NES could do, especially if you had the Zapper light gun. It felt different from just using a controller.
You control the Zapper, aiming at the screen to shoot ducks as they fly up from the marshes. Your main goal is to hit a set number of ducks before you run out of shots. The game has a few key mechanics: you track the ducks' flight paths, lead your shots to account for their speed, and deal with the dog that pops up to laugh if you miss. The rounds get faster, and the ducks become more evasive, making it a test of reflexes. It feels surprisingly tense and physical, trying to keep the gun steady as the pace picks up.
