Dragon's Lair : The Legend Game

Dragon's Lair: The Legend on Game Boy is one of those games that makes you feel like you're holding a tiny, dangerous world in your hands. Right from the start, you're thrown into this gorgeously animated fantasy realm—sword in hand, dragons overhead, and absolutely no hand-holding. The controls take a second to click, but once they do, you’re dodging fireballs and solving these weird little puzzles that feel way bigger than the screen should allow.
What really sticks with me is how punishing but fair it is. You’ll die a lot—like, a lot—but each failure teaches you something. That dragon’s tail swipe? Yeah, it always comes after the second flame breath. The pixel art still holds up, too—there’s something about the way the knight moves that just feels weighty and real, even on this tiny green screen.
If you’ve got the patience for old-school trial-and-error gameplay, this one’s a gem. Just don’t throw your Game Boy across the room when the dungeon spikes get you for the tenth time.
