Dragon's Lair - The Legend on Game Boy is one of those weird little adaptations that makes you wonder how they squeezed an arcade classic onto a tiny monochrome screen. You still get Dirk the Daring swinging his sword through castles full of traps, but everything moves at about half speed—which honestly helps when you're trying to dodge those instant-death spikes with the Game Boy's stiff controls.

The animation frames are stripped down to bare minimum, so Dirk kind of jerks around like a puppet, but there's something charming about it. You'll memorize the timing for each room after a few brutal deaths (that dragon breath still gets me every time). Not the best way to play Dragon's Lair, but a fun curiosity if you're into retro oddities.
