Dragon Heart Game

Dragon Heart on Game Boy is one of those old-school RPGs that somehow makes you forget how tiny the screen is. You start off in this little village where everyone’s freaking out about dragons—some want to hunt them, others think they’re sacred. Guess which side you end up on?
The combat’s simple but satisfying, with just enough strategy to keep you from button-mashing through every fight. I remember getting wrecked by the first real boss because I didn’t bother upgrading my gear—lesson learned. And the dragon-taming mechanic? Way cooler than I expected. Your first one’s this scrappy little fire-breather that barely listens to you, but by mid-game, you’re flying over mountains on a beast that could level a castle.
It’s got that classic ‘90s RPG vibe where the story’s cheesy but weirdly charming, like someone mashed together every fantasy trope and somehow made it work. If you dig pixelated dragons and turn-based fights with just the right amount of grind, this one’s still worth dusting off your Game Boy for.
