Dragonheart (france) Game

DragonHeart on Game Boy is one of those weird little movie tie-ins that somehow works. You play as Bowen, the knight from the film, swinging your sword through side-scrolling levels while Draco the dragon occasionally swoops in to help roast enemies. The pixel art actually captures the movie’s vibe pretty well—those dragon sprites are way more detailed than I expected.
It’s not deep, but there’s something satisfying about the simple combat. You’ve got your basic slash, a jump attack, and later some magic spells. The levels throw in just enough variety—ice caves, castle dungeons—to keep it from feeling repetitive. I remember getting stuck on one platforming section near the end where the jumps were way too precise, but hey, that’s classic Game Boy for you.
If you’re into ‘90s licensed games or just want a short, straightforward action-adventure, this one’s a decent way to kill an afternoon.
