Dracula Densetsu II (or Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge if you're not playing the Japanese version) is one of those Game Boy gems that actually holds up. You're back as Christopher Belmont—yeah, Simon's grandpa—trying to save your kid from Dracula (again). The levels are split into four castles, each with its own theme, like rocky ruins or a creepy cloud fortress. The music slaps for a Game Boy title, and the whip feels way better here than in the first one.
Pro tip: Pick the crystal castle first. The boss is way easier than the others, and you’ll need that confidence boost before the later stages wreck you. It’s short but satisfying, especially if you like that classic Castlevania challenge. Just don’t throw your Game Boy when the platforming gets mean.
