About Drac's Night Out (proto)
Drac's Night Out (Proto) is an unreleased Nintendo Entertainment System game from Parker Brothers. It was developed during the late 1980s, a period when many publishers experimented with action platformers and licensed properties. The game never saw a commercial release, existing only as a prototype.
You control Dracula, who moves through side scrolling stages. Your main goal is to find Mina, navigating past enemies and obstacles. Dracula can jump and attack using his cape; a unique mechanic involves collecting and using the Reebok Pump to gain extra height for reaching platforms. The game progresses screen by screen, with some vertical climbing sections. The pacing is deliberate, and the challenge comes from precise jumps and enemy placement. Playing it feels like exploring an unfinished but curious piece of NES history.
