Dough Boy (japan) Game

Dough Boy is one of those weird, forgotten NES gems that never made it outside Japan. You play as this little doughy blob guy (hence the name) who bounces around platforms, squishing enemies and collecting power-ups. The controls take a second to get used to—your jumps feel floaty at first, but once you figure out the rhythm, it's oddly satisfying to just bounce on everything.
It's got that classic 80s arcade vibe where the levels throw random hazards at you, like disappearing blocks or enemies that respawn if you look away for half a second. The music's pure chiptune nostalgia too—simple but catchy in that way only early Famicom games manage. Not gonna lie, some of the later stages get brutal, but it's the kind of game where you keep telling yourself "one more try" at 2 AM.
If you're into quirky retro platformers, this one's worth digging up.
