Double Dragon 3 on Game Boy is exactly what you'd expect—Billy and Jimmy punching their way through waves of thugs, but this time with a weird twist about collecting "Sacred Stones." The sprites are tiny but surprisingly detailed, and the controls feel a little stiff compared to the arcade version, though you get used to it after a few levels.
You start off in some back alley, smacking around generic goons with your usual punches and kicks, but then the game throws in these weird power-ups and temporary allies who join the fight. The whole stone-collecting gimmick feels tacked on, but hey, it gives you something to hunt for between the beatdowns. Just don’t expect a deep story—it’s all about clearing screens of enemies and moving right.
It’s not the best Double Dragon game out there, but if you’re craving some old-school brawler action on the go, this’ll do the trick.
