Doraemon 2 on N64 is one of those weird, charming little adventure games that never left Japan—which is a shame, because it’s got this cozy, slightly janky vibe that makes it fun to mess around with. You play as Nobita (or Doraemon, depending on the mode), running around colorful blocky environments solving puzzles with gadgets from the series. The controls take some getting used to—typical N64 platforming quirks—but there’s something oddly satisfying about flinging yourself at weirdly shaped ledges until you make the jump.
The puzzles are simple but creative, like using Doraemon’s bamboo-copter to reach high places or the shrink ray to squeeze through tiny gaps. The whole thing feels like playing through an episode of the anime, complete with that slightly off-kilter early 3D charm. If you’re into obscure N64 imports or just love Doraemon’s weird gadgets, it’s a neat little time capsule.
