Doraemon - Nobita to 3tsu no Seireiseki is one of those N64 hidden gems that never made it outside Japan, which is a shame because it’s got this weirdly cozy adventure vibe. You play as Nobita (yeah, the same guy who’s always getting bullied in the manga), but this time he’s actually doing something cool—hunting down three magic spirit stones across these surreal, dreamy worlds.
The graphics are bright and cartoony, like stepping into an old-school Doraemon episode, but with blocky N64 charm. At first, I thought it’d just be a simple fetch quest, but there’s some legit puzzle-solving mixed in—like figuring out how to use Doraemon’s gadgets in clever ways to progress. Some of the platforming’s a little janky (it is an N64 game, after all), but the dialogue and little character moments keep it fun even when you’re stuck.
If you’re into quirky, story-driven adventures, this one’s worth dusting off the ol’ emulator for. Just don’t expect a speedrun-friendly masterpiece—it’s more about soaking in the weird little world.
