Doraemon - Mittsu No Seireiseki is one of those N64 hidden gems that never made it outside Japan, which is a shame because it’s actually a solid little adventure. You play as Nobita (with Doraemon’s gadgets, of course) running around colorful 3D worlds solving puzzles and hunting down those three spirit stones. The controls take a minute to get used to—early N64 platforming vibes—but the charm kicks in fast when you start using weird gadgets like the Take-copter or that shrinking potion.
It’s got that classic Doraemon humor, too. One minute you’re sneaking past guards in a pyramid, the next you’re getting scolded by Gian after he catches you eavesdropping. The graphics are chunky but cute, like a playable anime episode from the ‘90s. Not gonna lie, some of the puzzles had me stuck until I realized I could cheese them with random items from Doraemon’s pocket.
If you’ve got nostalgia for the series or just like quirky N64 era adventures, this one’s worth dusting off an emulator for. Just don’t expect a speedrun-friendly masterpiece—half the fun is bumbling around like Nobita would.
