About Donald Duck In Maui
Donald Duck in Maui came out for the Game Boy in 1995, developed by Disney Interactive. It was part of that wave of Disney platformers that tried to capture the feel of the cartoons on the small screen. You control Donald Duck, navigating through side scrolling levels across different islands. Your main goal is to rescue your nephews from the witch doctor, Kiki Jiki. The gameplay involves a lot of jumping across platforms and bouncing on enemies. You collect golden doubloons scattered everywhere, and you can find temporary power ups like a skateboard that lets you dash forward. The levels are fairly linear but have some hidden areas to discover if you explore. The difficulty is manageable, though some jumps require precise timing.
