Donald Duck: Quack Attack is one of those N64 platformers that feels like playing through a classic Disney cartoon. You’re bouncing on springs, smacking weird little goblin dudes with a mallet, and occasionally getting so mad you turn into a tornado—because, well, it’s Donald. The levels are bright and full of little details, like bouncing on giant drums or dodging rolling barrels in a minecart section. It’s not the hardest game out there, but there’s something satisfying about the way Donald flails around when he jumps.
Merlock (yeah, the villain from DuckTales) kidnaps Daisy, so you’re basically just running, jumping, and quacking your way through themed worlds to save her. The controls take a minute to get used to—sometimes Donald slides a bit more than you’d expect—but once it clicks, it’s a fun little nostalgia trip. If you grew up with Disney afternoon cartoons, this one’s got that same vibe.
