Dirty Harry on NES is exactly what you'd expect from a late 80s movie tie-in—rough around the edges but weirdly charming. You play as a tiny blue-suited Clint Eastwood blasting through drug dealers with that iconic .44 magnum. The side-scrolling action feels stiff by today's standards, but there's something satisfying about kicking down doors and watching those pixelated thugs go flying.
Between shootouts, you're grabbing drugs (to confiscate, obviously) and picking up random weapons like grenades. The levels get progressively more ridiculous—one minute you're in an alley, the next you're dodging exploding chili dogs in a diner. It's not exactly a masterpiece, but if you're into janky retro action with that classic Eastwood attitude, it's a fun little time capsule.
Just don't expect the plot to make much sense—it's basically "Harry vs. Drugs: The Video Game."
