Dino Breeder 2 is one of those weird little Game Boy gems that never left Japan—which is a shame, because it’s way more fun than it has any right to be. You start off hatching these tiny pixel dinos, feeding them, and watching them grow into absolute monsters (some turn into legit kaiju-sized beasts). The breeding system’s surprisingly deep—mixing traits feels like rolling dice in the best way, and I wasted way too much time trying to get the perfect fire-breathing T-rex.
It’s janky in that classic Game Boy way, but the sprites have charm, and there’s something weirdly satisfying about dumping meat into a tiny dino’s mouth until it evolves. If you’re into obscure monster-raising sims, this one’s a blast. Just don’t expect an English patch—menus are trial and error, but that’s half the fun.
